SITE MAP

Introduction

This site map should help you find your way around my website. As well as the "Home" Page there are four "main" pages and all other pages are associated with a "main" page from which they can be reached, either directly, or indirectly via another page. The "main" pages are:

There's not much site to map yet, but all the pages on the site are listed in the map in the panel below under their associated "main" page so you can see where everything fits in. You can even go directly to any page from the list. The 'Contact Me' and 'Site Map' pages have no associated pages. If you need further help there are some Notes for guidance below the list.

All the main pages are accessible from the navigation links at the top of every page, so you can always get back to any main page from any other page. The navigation links look like this:

Notes for guidance

There is a "breadcrumb trail" in small type right at the top of each page which will enable you to find your way back to the Home Page and the associated main page. The "breadcrumb trail" enables you to retrace your steps to the Home page and "Welcome" page by the "normal" route, which may not be the way you came. It looks like this:

"Welcome" Page > Home Page. > Site Map >

There are also links on the pages to their associated pages, and sometime to other pages. Pages may also have links within the text of the page - this Site Map is the most obvious example! The Site Map page may have links to pages that cannot be reached any other way - generally these are new pages or sections/pages in preparation which can be viewed but which may not yet be complete.

The initial "Welcome" page is a technically very simple page provided primarily to help people with older browsers. It does not form an essential part of the site and is not in the list above. However, there is a link back to it in the "breadcrumb trail" on each page. Older browsers may not show the navigation links area or other parts of the pages correctly, but the "breadcrumb trail" should be visible at or near the top of the page and can be used to return to the home page or a main page. You can then reach other parts of the site using the links in the body of the pages.
